I'm starting a 'Book of the Month' journal to simply have more conversations about good literature. I want to tell you what I'm reading that challenges or inspires me and I want your suggestions, too! Whether it's prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, etc.; its all valid! Reading new things always pushes us further into our own minds and corrupts our thought process for the better.

Currently, I'm finishing 'Auguste Rodin' by Rainer Maria Rilke. It's a fascinating look into the controversial sculptor's life written by one of my favorite poets. The two became friends and found inspiration, as well as correlation, in each other's work. The relationship was both tempestuous and tranquil. A beautiful read. (For more on this particular subject, read 'You Must Change Your Life' by Rachel Corbett.)
Also, if you're interested in Rilke, he's responsible for one of the works that changed my life as a writer and general human being, 'Letters to a Young Poet.' I read it a few times a year because I find the advice so consistently vital...
